DAVID REUTIMANN, No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota Camry, Qualified: 10th
How was your can in qualifying?
“It was okay, just a little bit tight. It’s a decent lap, but I think the track is getting quicker. It seems like the speeds have been gaining and it seems that everybody that went out kept getting quicker. I don’t know if it will hold up. It was a lot better than it was in practice. The guys did a good job. If it wasn’t a little too tight then it would be real fast.”
MARTIN TRUEX JR., No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry, Qualified: 19th
How was your car in qualifying?
“Not good. We got going pretty good in practice and made a few adjustments to try to get better and we just went the wrong way. The car pushed real bad right there. We were pretty good in practice. I’m a little disappointed that we slowed down, but it is what it is. We’ll get out there tomorrow.”
What will your strategy for Sunday be?
“I got pretty happy in race trim today. We unloaded pretty far off, but we got pretty good. I was pretty happy with the changes and we made a lot of headway. Tomorrow we’ll just go and start like that, keep working on it to try to get better. Not sure what the weather is going to be like, so we’ll have to wait and see. We’ll work on it tomorrow to get it the best we can and then guess for Sunday and tune it through the race.”
