MARTIN TRUEX JR.— ON QUALIFYING LAP: “It was a good pick up from practice so that is what you are always look-ing for is to better yourself. The guys did a good job making adjustments. I felt good about the car in practice. We were just off a little bit in three and four. We were too loose down there in practice and they actually got it a little too tight down there now. They did a good job adjusting, we just missed it a little bit today. Real happy with the effort and that was a good qualifying run for us.”
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO WORK ON FOR PRACTICE TOMORROW? “Here, just grip. Long runs here and the tires wear out then it gets really, really slick. It was slick today, it will be worse tomorrow, it always is. Just work on getting the car driving decent and being good on long runs. That’s usually what it takes to be good here.”
DAVID REUTIMANN—ON QUALIFYING LAP: “We were loose coming to the green and I think that cost us some in getting up to speed. We were better than we were in practice, but we were still a fair way off from where we need to be. Just have to see how it stacks up.”
HOW MUCH DOES THIS TRACK CHANGE FROM JUNE TO AUGUST? “It doesn’t really matter – it seems to be the same from year to year. It just depends on what the temperature is and how much cloud cover there is and stuff like that. It doesn’t really seem to matter when, it just seems to matter what the temperatures are.”
GOOD PART ON BOTH TEAMS SO FAR THIS WEEKEND!!
