Reutimann Previews Talladega and the Aaron's Dream Weekend

AARON’S HAS HUGE PRESENCE AT TALLADEGA:
“Every weekend you always want to do your best,” said Reutimann. “This weekend is no different. You definitely want to run well, and the only thing I can think of that is better than winning is winning when your sponsor is the race sponsor. I would definitely love to win this race with Aaron’s having so many supportive representatives present. The pressure is not any more than it would be for any other race; you just go out there and race the best you can each week but it would be a great feeling to get that No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine in Victory Lane for those folks.”

FUN FILLED WEEKEND AT TALLADEGA:
“This weekend I will have plenty of hospitality visits with Aaron’s,” said Reutimann. “I will make a visit to the Aaron’s display and speak a few words to all the fans out there. Aaron’s always brings a number of people to Talladega during the weekend. They always have celebrities show up to perform the National Anthem and for the Grand Marshals. The Wounded Warriors will also usually make an appearance sometime during the weekend. There are just so many people from Aaron’s; it just makes for a fun exciting weekend.”

EXPECTING BETTER FINISHES THIS TIME AROUND:
“Talladega has not always been good to me,” said Reutimann. “But going into Vegas, which we have never ran really well at, we had an awesome run there. Phoenix, last week, was the same. I haven’t run well there in the past, but this year we ran really well. At Talladega, our car is usually really strong during the race; we just have not ever been able to close the deal there in the end. It always seemed as though we would get caught up in the ‘big ones’ ruining our chances for a good finish. This race track is just a different animal, but we definitely have a shot for the win this weekend.”

CHALLENGES OF THE SUPERSPEEDWAY:
“As bad as it sounds, it is challenging to not get caught up in a wreck at Talladega,” said Reutimann. “At this race track you are racing in large packs and it can get really tight. All it takes is someone around you to make one mistake taking you out of contention. You really try to avoid any kind of contact, which can be difficult to do since most likely all the cars are on the lead lap and racing in tight packs. The smoothness of the track and the tight packs does call for some exciting racing.”

NINTH PLACE CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS POSITION BRINGS EXCITEMENT TO AARON’S DREAM TEAM:
“Being ninth in points compared to last years 29th points position at this point in the competition changes the outlook for each race,” said Reutimann. “I have always loved my job racing cars, but it sure does make it more exciting to show up at the race track each week knowing you are a contender for the race. It is not like it was in the past where we weren’t even sure if we would make the race. The Michael Waltrip Racing program is older now and there have been many improvements helping us get to where we are today. Having Aaron’s on board all along has also made it even more exciting each week.”
