QUOTES

TRUEX ON EXPECATIONS FOR 2010 WITH NEW TEAM:It is a new start for me. I have had a couple of tough seasons in the last two years so I am looking forward to a new challenge. We have a great team put together. My team shows great potential from the crew chief to all the guys working on the car. Everybody at MWR – I’ve been so impressed by them. The way they do their business and the amount of effort they put in and the support from Toyota is like nothing I have ever seen. It’s incredible. There are a lot of things I have seen going on during this off season that shows me it’s going to be a big deal. It’s really great. The support from NAPA and driving the NAPA Toyota is a dream come true. This is probably the most excited I have been for a start to a season in a long time because of all the great stuff I am experiencing.”

TRUEX ON PRESEASON TESTING AT ATLANTA AND NEW SMYRNA SPEEDWAY: “We have done some testing and it has gone really well. We have a camaraderie. I don’t think it is going to take a whole lot of effort to get along with the crew we have assembled. We are gelling. We have a lot of good guys and a lot of ambition. It is easy to get along with these guys because they have such great attitudes and are pushing forward and trying to do the best job they can. I think everybody on this team is looking at this season the same way. The opportunity is here to succeed. We just have to do everything we can do to take advantage of it.”

TRUEX ON FAVORITE DAYTONA MEMORIES:I have a lot of great memories like driving through the tunnel for the first time, and then last year, winning the pole for the Daytona 500. I also won the July Nationwide Series race in 2005. But I think the first time I went to Daytona is what I probably remember the most. I always watched the races but the first time I drove through the tunnel and saw how big Daytona really was – the track, the infield, I was pretty amazed by that.”
