On Wednesday, June 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, as this week’s episode premieres on SHOWTIME, fans can go to NASCAR.COM to sample the series.
Airing every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Inside NASCAR is the newest program in the SHOWTIME Sports® lineup. This week
NASCAR President Mike Helton will be on the set to discuss the state of the sport. In addition, Stewart Hass Racing Competition Director Bobby Hutchens will be featured in a special Father’s Day Spotlight.
Helton, who the assumed the role of president for NASCAR in November 2000, succeeded Bill France, Jr., who had served as president since 1972. Helton became the first person outside the France family to take over the day-to-day operations at NASCAR when he was promoted from his position as vice president of competition and was named senior vice president and chief operating officer in February 1999.
Bobby Hutchens, who was named director of competition for Stewart-Haas Racing on Nov. 14, 2008, spent 20 years at Richard Childress Racing helping engineer 56 Sprint Cup wins with drivers such as Dale Earnhardt, Kevin Harvick, Robby Gordon and Jeff Burton, including victories in the prestigious Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in 1995 (Earnhardt) and 2003 (Harvick) and the Daytona 500 in 1998 (Earnhardt) and 2006 (Harvick).
In addition to these rare interviews, exclusive highlights, expert analysis and behind-the-wheel action from Sunday’s race at Michigan International Speedway, the Inside NASCAR panel looks ahead to the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway.
